Parties, Concerts and Celebrations

There is a very healthy and happy social life at St James’s. The New Year always begins with a supper party, including home-spun and often hilarious entertainment, and some country dancing. During the year, various concerts are held in church when we welcome visiting choirs and musicians.

The Patronal Festival in July provides another excuse for a celebration and come the Autumn, there is the Harvest Festival lunch – always very popular. Skittles matches provide an opportunity for some good healthy competition among groups from both within and outside the church.

In some years, the church holds a summer fayre or arranges an outing.  Our programme is very flexible and new ideas are always welcome.  Everybody is welcome to join in our activities whether they are a member of St James’s or not.
